This picture is too cute not to post! They were on opposite ends of the couch sleeping and he snuck over to cuddle with her! My parents dog is usually running around like a nut, but he is so calm and sweet around Layla... maybe she is going to be the female dog whisperer when she grows up!!! Watch out Cesaer...

This has been a hard week, Layla cut her last tooth and she was sick... I was pretty sad about it all since it was our last week together :( But, we had fun regardless: swimming, playing in fountains, petting zoo, dino museum! I drug her around everywhere....
She is repeating just about anything you say to her. Jayson swears she said "brownie", the other night but, I am not so sure! She is really good at saying Ollie and buber (for buster) it is so cute. Buster and Oliver are her BFF's right now, she hugs oliver every chance she gets.
Starting work tomorrow is bittersweet. I really love my job...it is so rewarding and flexible and wonderful. It gives the week more purpose and structure and I am excited for that because I have become quite the bum! I just hate missing any time with Layla. I know that I only work 3 hours a day, and she naps for 2 of those hours, but I miss her....I am so busy when I am at work, I don't really think about it. It is just the drive home couldn't be any longer, I drive as fast as I can back to her. This year is going to be easier since my school is so much closer. Also, Fridays I am going to take her with me while I plan, so I really only have to be away from her 4 days. Wow, I am really ranting here.... I guess this has just been on my mind a lot this week, with summer sadly coming to an end.

My mom has wanted to take a family picture for a while... we finally got together and did it! The guy was pretty cheezy, but they turned out really cute! Layla would not crack a smile...she is very shy around strangers.

Had a fun day today... played with Layla all day. She fell down on the mat outside and it is really rough, it drew blood and gave her a big scrape on her arm. My heart almost pounded out of my chest and I was shaking. It is amazing how much love and protection you can feel for one thing. I wish I could wrap her up in bubble pop so she will never get hurt again. I am sure this is just the beginning of many tears...
*I am saddened by the summer coming to an end, where did all those lazy days go?? I plan to spend the next couple weeks at the pool.
