Here is a picture of my cute little Eva . She is one month old today. WOW that really flew by. She is a little angel baby. (Katie, thanks for the idea of the paper, you have always been a genius)

Sad Day

We made the decision to let our dear Buster rest. It has been such a hard battle for her the past few years. Those of you who have seen her know how hard it was to watch her. She has been progressively getting worse, loosing all control of her bowels and back legs. I guess we just kept hoping she would get better... it never happened. Jayson took her to be put down yesterday. It has been very hard on us all. Every time Layla comes downstairs she tells me she wants Bubby to come back. Ollie has been lost all day. Jayson is very sad...Buster has been Jayson's best friend for the past 11 years. When he was at war, he kept a picture of buster in his helmet. He is so strong to let her go... I fell in love with Buster the first day I met her. She has always been such a spunky and adorable dog... she lost her spunk and although it has been the hardest thing we have ever done, we had to let her go.

So... farewell Bubby. We love you. We hope you feel better in doggy heaven. You will be missed dearly.

Eva Jean Valadez

We welcomed Eva Jean Valadez into our family on May 2nd, 2011. She is perfect as perfect can be. She weighed 6 pounds four ounces and was 19 inches long.

I started having contractions after I freakishly cleaned my car, took Layla to the park and went grocery shopping. I knew it was the day... Jayson was in denial from about 6-7 and then he knew that I was getting serious (he never believes me). We started packing up and getting Layla ready to go to her cousins house for her first sleepover. I was very worried about her, but she could have cared less... she was with Landon and Carly and they are all that matter to her in this world :). We got to the hospital around 10:00 and my contractions were strong and I was dialated to a 4. They prepared us for the c-section and she was born at 1:40 am. Jayson asked if next time I could not deliver in the middle of the night :).

After all was said and done we have a beautiful baby girl. It is taking a little adjusting with the 2 children, especially since Layla had a 102 degree fever the first 2 nights we brought Eva home... but even with a sick child, it has been a relatively easy transition. Eva is an angel, she only makes a peep when she is hungry and when she gets her diaper changed.

I was a little nervous about Layla feeling left out or resentment towards Eva. So far she has none and loves everything about Eva. She sneaks right next to her whenever possible. She melts my heart. She has to hold her every free second and reminds me if she is crying. She gets very excited when Eva wakes up! Today before our nap we read her favorite book, Llama, Llama misses momma. Before we fell asleep she said... I love you Llama Momma, I love you baby Llama... too cute.
