My, how time flies

Weighing in at 28 lbs and 3 feet tall
Layla Mae the 3 year old

Really... is she 3. Sad. I know it just gets more fun as they grow, but this birthday is really emotional for me. I just want her to stay small, innocent and adorable forever. She will forever be 2 in my mind.

An ode to Layla Mae: My sweet peanut. I love everything about you. Especially the way you say fravorite, chocrate and aminals. I hope that in 10 years you will still tell me I am the bestest mother in the whole world. I love that you have to constantly be the center of attention. I love when you sing me songs that you make up about daily activities. Bottom line is, I love you more than anything and I promise to be the best mom I can be. Happy third birthday my love.

Swimming Party!!!! We had so much fun. Lots of our great friends and family were able to make Layla's day super special. We swam, ate cake and had lots of fun.

Jayson being the life of the party :)

Carly trying to steal the show with her cuteness :)

 Awesome princess cake!

Grandpa Valadez came to visit a couple of weeks ago...we were excited to see him and Lisa! We had a little barbecue with the fam and played with Layla and Xander all day. Layla is still bigger than Xander but, I have a feeling he will catch up very soon.
We celebrated Jayson's birthday last week. We went to dinner with the Van Wagoner clan at Jayson's favorite restaurant...Roma's, and it was delicious:) We also celebrated with a BBQ to test out Jayson's birthday present, a meat smoker. He is becoming a great cook in his old age!
Layla is working on sitting up. She is determined to lift her head and flex her belly when she is reclined in anything...her car seat, on the couch and sitting on moms lap. She has also been developing a silly laugh lately! Jayson thought it was her faking a cough, but that is how she thinks a laugh should sound. It is hilarious.
I am getting very excited for the holidays. I can't wait to dress Layla up in holiday cheer...now that halloween is over. She was a very adorable bunny rabbit for halloween.
