Summertime

Only 3 more days left of work...I have never been so excited (in all my years of school!) to have the summer off. Layla and I are going to have so much fun. I am moving to a new school next year closer to my mom's house. I will still have the same position, but it will cut off 40 minutes from my commute. I actually went to preschool at the school I am moving to! Crazy. Jayson loves the company he is working for right now. He is keeping himself very busy with running...and trying to drag me along some days :) His race is in 3 weeks! I hope he survives the 4 miles strait up Guardsman pass...I like to call it the death sentence.
We have been enjoying the nice weather lately, swimming and hanging out outdoors. Layla loves being outside. We went on a hike up Silver creek this weekend while Layla's Grandma Wood was in town and she cooed the whole way up.
Layla is 10 months old this month...she is pulling herself up on everything, pushing her little car all over the house and attempting to walk. Jayson and I are constantly chasing her and keeping her away from the dog door, stairs, toilet, ect. She's really into blowing raspberries on skin right now, it is hilarious. She says dad very well and mom when she is sad or tired :) She says kitty when she sees my moms cat, hi and doggy, or so I think... This has been a really fun year. Maybe I will lose some weight chasing her around all summer when she starts walking!
